Rosacea Skincare Kit - Anti Redness

"I am so pleased with the progress my skin has made. Due to health reasons I have never been able to treat my rosacea with medication and in the past all the topical treatments I tried didn't seem to work for me. I just found good makeup and didn't go outside without wearing it.

(Side point - I love the blog tips about rosacea since they are really good information for people who are still struggling with it)

Now I feel much better about myself now my skin is improving, thank you so much for this. Because my skin is improving I finally convinced my husband to buy ESK too!

Thanks, Leslie"

"Hi, my name is Kelly and I have suffered with problematic skin for most of my life. I had terrible acne and chicken pocks as a child that resulted in scarring. Then along came the fine lines and wrinkles. In just under two weeks, I have seen a massive change! The regime is incredibly easy to follow, you don’t need much of it and it is an Australian product! I am finally proud of my skin and cannot wait to see what my face looks like in a month! I am so grateful! Thank you Esk!"

“I had the worst breakout at 40 and needed to change the products I had been using. I came across ESK and after doing some research felt this would be the best treatment for me to try. After 5 days of using the acne package my skin had changed for the better. A month along and my skin has improved so much. Hardly any breakouts and my skin is glowing with pigmentation lightening. Cannot recommend ESK enough”

I love the way my skin feels after each use and my makeup glides on to give a nice dewy effect which I haven't been able to achieve for some time. I'm feeling more confident in being able to reduce my makeup usage overall."

Ageless: Microneedle Patches

ESK eye patch trial. Super easy to use. Once applied the patch blends in well against the skin. I applied the patch at night after my normal evening skincare routine (using ESK 4 & 5+) and left it until morning. As a 60 year old with sun damaged skin, I found this product to be brilliant with noticeable results to skin tone and pigmentation after the 12 day trial.

Please find attached my before and after pics for the patch review. Left eye before, right eye after 12 days of every second day applying a patch to my under eye.

I found the patches easy to use and I think they added more moisture to the fine skin under my eye.

They made the under eye more plump and my dark circle didn’t seem so dark.

Thanks for the opportunity to try these, I love trying your new creations.

Ultimate A+

ESK has been the one and only thing that has helped my skin - and quickly! I have suffered from hormonal acne for years, it was red, and sore, and I would barely leave the house without make up on, I was so embarrassed. Within a few weeks, all of the redness was gone, half of my acne settled down and it has just kept on getting better and better. Not only did these products get my acne under control, but the texture of my skin became smooth, my pores shrunk in size and the fine lines I had started to get around my eyes have even smoothed out! What! Even my scars are disappearing, and I have been previously told the only way I would be able to get rid of them would be laser procedures...I tell everyone I can about ESK, as it's been some of the best products I have used in my life!

"I would just like to say how impressed I am with ESK skin care.

I turn the big 60 this year and have be looking for a skin care for mature skin. I was watching Sunrise and Ginni came on talking about ESK. So I thought I would give it ago and I loved the fact that it was made in Australia. I love the way the cleanser made my skin feel so clean and light and the way the products sunk straight into my skin. Which I have been looking for forever. Most products just sit on top of my skin which is frustrating and can be very expensive.

My skin looks smoother and plumper. Finally something that works Thanks ESK"

The suffix -esque means “like” or “resembling.”

You can add -esque to almost any noun, including proper nouns.

Use restraint. Too many -esque words in the same passage may seem clumsy and repetitive.

Don’t pile on redundant suffixes that mean the same thing as -esque (e.g., “picturesque-like”).

If someone called you a statue, you might not find it so flattering. However, if someone called you statuesque, you would probably thank them for the compliment. What does the suffix -esque mean? Can you add -esque to any word? Here come the answers!

Here’s a tip: Want to make sure your writing shines? Grammarly can check your spelling and save you from grammar and punctuation mistakes. It even proofreads your text, so your work is extra polished wherever you write.

Meaning of -esque suffix

This suffix means “in the manner of, resembling.” So statuesque means suggestive of a statue in dignity, grace, or beauty. Is there another way to express the idea behind -esque? You could use an adjective. For instance, instead of saying that something is lionesque, you could use adjectives to describe the qualities that remind you of a lion: proud, majestic, fear-inspiring, feline, etc. You could also see if the similar suffix -like works: The man was lionlike.

How to use -esque

What do you do if you can’t find a preexisting -esque word that fits? It’s not very often that English allows you to invent a word on the spot, but in this case it’s acceptable. You can add -esque to almost any noun. For example, if you think that your neighbor resembles Abraham Lincoln, you can describe his face as Lincolnesque.

You can attach it to the names of people or groups of people (Namath-esque and Romanesque). You can also attach it to a regular old noun (lionesque).

Does -esque need a hyphen?

Does -esque need a hyphen? No, the hyphen is optional. And don’t worry if your spelling checker puts a red squiggly line under your novel -esque words. The alert lets you know that the word isn’t in the spelling checker’s dictionary; that doesn’t mean it’s wrong. But if the hyphen is unnecessary, why ever would you add it?

Imagine you were reading an ESPN article and you find this quote:

On this night, he was Namath-esque, driving the ball downfield against a couple of very good cornerbacks.

ESPN.com

If you aren’t familiar with football, you might not know that Namath is the name of a former football player. So you look up Namathesque in a dictionary, but you won’t find it there. The hyphen alerts readers that the -esque word might be a unique one. If you see the hyphen, you would probably search for Namath on the Internet rather than in a dictionary.

In other cases, a hyphen can make an -esque word a little easier to read, especially if you’re adding -esque to a word that already ends in a vowel.

Additionally, there are some situations where you’d want to add esque to a more complex name or phrase. In these cases, consider using an en dash instead of a hyphen. Some style guides opt for an en dash to lend extra precision and communicate a clearer link than a hyphen would. According to The Chicago Manual of Style, when adding a suffix to a compound word,  a multi-word proper name, or multiple connected names, use an en dash (–). An en dash can make it clear you’re attaching it to the whole multi-word string, instead of just the last word.

The royal palace–esque place settings were elaborate, yet understated.

Her voice was hopeful but a little sad, very Judy Gardland’s “Over the Rainbow”–esque.

Snow, ice, and branches flew down the mountain, so I deployed my avalanche vest and survived the tidal wave–esque torrent.

They had a lively, Laverne and Shirley–esque chemistry on stage.

Words with -esque

What are some other words ending in the suffix -esque? Here are five common examples from dictionaries—arabesque, burlesque, gigantesque, grotesque, picturesque. Let’s look at some examples of people creating their own -esque words.

Mel’s new Santa-esque look will likely be wasted on his unborn ninth child to new girlfriend Rosalind Ross, who is not expected to give birth until after the 2016 holiday season.

DailyMail.com

Details of the new series are being kept under wraps, but I hear it is a prequel, described as a Malcolm in the Middle-esque single-camera family comedy centered on the child prodigy Sheldon character at age 12.

Deadline.com

The importance of Rogue One, however, goes far beyond entertainment value and even profit margins, as the ultimate success or failure of this movie could have a major impact on the future of the Star Wars franchise and, more specifically, the potential for a Marvel-esque Star Wars Cinematic Universe.

Fansided.com

Can you add -esque to any word? Pretty much. What does the suffix -esque mean? It means “reminiscent of” or “in the style of.” What other questions do you have about -esque?

– Financing led by Foresite Capital, Samsara BioCapital and venBio Partners with participation from additional new and existing investors –

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., March 6, 2024 – Alumis Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing oral therapies using a precision approach to transform the lives of patients with immune-mediated diseases, today announced an upsized $259M Series C financing. Alumis plans to use the proceeds of the financing to initiate pivotal Phase 3 clinical trials for its lead candidate ESK-001, a highly selective and potentially best-in-class allosteric tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) inhibitor, in moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in the second half of 2024, as well as support the two ongoing Phase 2 clinical trials for ESK-001 in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and non-infectious uveitis. The financing will also support the further advancement of Alumis’ precision data analytics and multi-platform approach to explore ESK-001’s potential application in other autoimmune indications, as well as A-005, a TYK2 inhibitor for the treatment of neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases, and its earlier-stage internal pipeline programs.

The financing was co-led by existing investor, Foresite Capital, and new investors, Samsara BioCapital and venBio Partners, with additional participation from new investors Cormorant Asset Management, SR One, Lilly Asia Ventures, Nextech, Ally Bridge Group, HBM Healthcare Investments, Omega Funds, Piper Heartland Healthcare and existing investors AyurMaya, an affiliate of Matrix Capital Management and a U.S.-based healthcare-focused fund. Srinivas Akkaraju, M.D., Ph.D., Founder and Managing General Partner of Samsara BioCapital, and Richard Gaster, M.D., Ph.D., Managing Partner at venBio Partners, will join Alumis’ Board of Directors.

“We are pleased to announce our successful Series C financing and we are grateful for the support of our strong investor syndicate, a group that shares our commitment to transforming the treatment paradigm for patients living with immune-mediated diseases,” said Martin Babler, Alumis’ President and Chief Executive Officer. “This investment will support the continued clinical development of ESK-001, building on promising data that have demonstrated full, sustained target inhibition leading to a potentially best-in-class oral TYK2 inhibitor profile. It will also support continued advancement of additional pipeline programs powered by our proprietary precision immunology platform for target discovery and clinical development.”

“Led by a team with a proven track record in immunology and with whom we have successfully partnered previously, Alumis has advanced a strong immunology pipeline, including two oral allosteric TYK2 inhibitors, fueled by an innovative platform,” said Srinivas Akkaraju, M.D., Ph.D., Founder and Managing General Partner of Samsara BioCapital. “We are proud to invest in and work with this team again to support their continued growth and success as they explore both the full potential of their lead program, ESK-001, in immune-mediated diseases and the broad opportunity where the TYK2 pathway plays a key role.”

“There is a significant unmet need in immunology for oral therapies that can provide improved efficacy and safety,” said Richard Gaster, M.D., Ph.D., Managing Partner at venBio Partners. “Alumis’ precision approach in this field – focused on the application of data science and translational insights to validated targets that drive immune dysfunction – will ultimately lead to better outcomes for patients, and we look forward to supporting the team as they work to realize that goal.”

Jim Tananbaum, founder and CEO of Foresite Capital, added, “The partnership with Foresite Labs, which incubated Alumis, and its robust genetics and data analytics platform combined with Alumis’ expertise in the discovery and development of therapies for immune-mediated diseases has demonstrated powerful synergy. We are now starting to see how this will translate into outcomes for patients. We are proud of the company’s progress and happy to continue to support and work with the Alumis team and Board of Directors in this next stage of the company’s growth.”

The service should assist the family as much as possible through this process. If the grace period has expired and the service has not received appropriate documentation (including a 'catch up schedule'), the child can continue to attend kindergarten, except in the circumstance of an outbreak of an infectious disease. The service should continue to work with the carer to address this issue. Other early intervention programs and fundingThe Access to Early Learning (AEL) program provides a more intensive early intervention than ESK. Through AEL, a facilitator supports vulnerable three-year-olds from families with multiple and complex needs, assisting them to access universal kindergarten programs.AEL is for families that have a range of barriers to children's kindergarten participation. It is unlike ESK, which predominately addresses financial barriers.AEL facilitators undertake in-home visits and work with families to build their child’s engagement with formal learning. They also work to strengthen the home learning environment. Facilitators collaborate with educators and other services to support the family and child.AEL-School Readiness Funding (SRF) is now an item on the SRF menu of evidence, enabling groups of services to purchase this new model.Find out more, get support and resourcesEvidence base - why participation mattersParticipation in quality kindergarten for supporting children’s long term development and health, particularly those who are vulnerable, is important for success at school and beyond. The Effective Provision of Pre-School Education (EPPE) Project found that high-quality programs had a significantly stronger impact on children’s literacy, academic outcomes, self-regulation, and pro-social capabilities than that of low or medium quality kindergarten programs (Sylva et al, 2010).Hours matter because they provide the necessary time to create a substantial impact on a child’s cognitive outcomes (Fox and Geddes, 2016). Children experiencing vulnerability or disadvantage benefit the most from two years of kindergarten compared with one year, with 15 hours a week the minimum amount required for most children.Resources for Funded Kindergartens provide further information about ESK for kindergarten services, MCH services, Child Protection and Child FIRST professionals.Early Start Kindergarten provides further information about ESK for families. To order ESK print material free of charge, please sign up and/or login to the Victorian Kindergarten Resources website(opens in a new window), and select the Early Start Kindergarten option.
