交通工程博士我眼中的交通期刊与国际会议摘要(写在前面)应版主之约,谈谈个人投稿经验和交通领域的一些SCI期刊。希望对大家写作和投稿有所帮助,同时也希望跟大家多多交流,相互学习。希望大家早日拿下心中的那篇SCI。首先谈谈个人SCI写作、投稿、录用和出版的一些经验。在此基础上,总结了一些好用的科研工具,希望能帮助大家提高效率。最后抛砖引玉,对于交通领域的国际会议和SCI期刊谈了一些自己的看法。因此,以下仅为个人看法,仅供参考;若有不妥之处,敬请谅解。个人投稿经验篇万事开头难——第一篇SCI作为研究生,特别是博士研究生,科研论文写作不仅能够提升自己的科研写作能力,更能锻炼自己的科研思维。当然,对于广大博士研究生来说,更重要的是发表科研论文是顺利毕业的前提。我想这个要求是几乎所有科研院所的博士毕业基本要求之一。所以,怎么去开始写自己的第一篇SCI论文呢?以下我根据自己的一些经历来具体谈谈。我的第一篇SCI论文发表在Journal of Advanced Transportation(JAT)上。这个期刊2017年以前是由Wiley公司出版,2017年以后转为Hindawi开源期刊公司出版。当时我论文是2016年投的,虽然录用是2017年。按照期刊出版社要求,是由Wiley公司出版,也是该公司出版这个期刊的最后一期。所以说,还是比较幸运。现在JAT变成了所谓的开源期刊,相对来说认可度低一些。不过上面也有一些很好的论文。以下我将具体说一下我写作这篇论文的经历。刚开始读研究生的时候,跟着导师做关于城市交通信号控制的研究。按照小导师的要求学习了一些微观交通仿真软件(Vissim)的二次开发内容。同时,为了思维上能跟上导师,我就看了一些他以前写的论文。通过分析这些论文,我就有了第一个想法。随后,找了导师讨论了创新性,觉得可以试试。接着就直接开写了,由于之前没有写过科研论文,更别说英文论文了。所以,我选择采用中文开始写作了我的第一篇论文,很快论文理论部分基本完成。最后,采用了实际数据来验证模型,效果还不错。然后就是翻译成英文论文,先是投了TRB会议(关于这个会议后面有详细介绍)。第一次投稿啥都不懂,选了TRB会议的AHB45交通流理论的Committee,后来才知道这个Committee号称死亡之组。果不其然,最后没有被TRR期刊录用,不过比较幸运的推荐到了TRB会议Poster展示。会议过后,根据审稿人的意见修改,投了JAT。我记得是2016年6月投的,大概2个月后返回审稿意见。两个审稿人,编辑给的大修。刚开始拿到意见并没有马上修改。先找师兄师姐要了一个意见回复模板,然后十月一日国庆节的时候,花了整整7天时间修改。修改完以后,就再次提交了。大约两个月后,就收到了编辑的录用邮件,其中一个审稿人没有意见,一个审稿人还有一条小建议。编辑直接给了接收。当时收到录用邮件,还是挺激动的,马上给导师发了截图,哈哈。所以,本人的第一篇SCI就此诞生。总结一下:(1)先读文献了解某个领域,有想法先跟导师讨论,毕竟导师对整个领域的认识更深,可以给出很好的意见;不然可能自己认为是一个很好的想法,其实不然或者已经被别人做过了。(2)一旦确定可以写了以后,要马上动手去写。不要总把想法停留着嘴上,行动才是最重要的。不管三七二十一,先写出来再说。(3)第一次写论文和回复专家意见,可以向师兄师姐要一些经典的模板,可以事半功倍。努力总有回报——Transaction之旅在第一篇SCI论文发表以后,也就有了一些经验。在第2篇论文完成以后,选择了IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems。这个期刊算是交通领域的顶级期刊之一。不过这篇论文从投稿到录用还是够折腾的,耗时18个月。首先,写完以后在网上找了这个期刊的投稿模板,是双栏的。照着模块修改以后就直接投了出去。大概4个多月以后,收到了编辑的邮件:改后重投,同时给了3个月的修改时间。有3个审稿人的意见,都是建议改后重投。因为当时另一篇论文写作到了关键时候,所以导师建议先写完该论文,再修改退修的论文。当然,我自己还是希望早点修改完重投的。就这样过了一个多月,才开始正式进行论文的修改。最后花了整整3个月的修改时间,修改完以后发给了导师看。结果导师没有准时看完,系统关闭了。最后是邮件联系编辑重新打开系统提交上去的。接着又是漫长的等待,大约4个月左右,回来了二审意见。编辑还是建议改后重投。三个审稿人:有1个小修,另外2个还是改后重投。我当时就着急了,感觉这篇论文要跪的节奏。不过导师却觉得意见很中肯,好好修改没问题。这次修改和上次一样,把3个月的修改时间全部用上了。改后提交三审,最后过了4个月左右,三审意见出来:2个接收,1个小修。而编辑给的接收。全程耗时18个月,终于接收。总结一下:(1)编辑和审稿人没有拒搞,给了修改就有戏,好好修改。(2)写作、投稿、修改到录用是一个漫长的过程,确实需要耐性。其实18个月不是我的最长记录,我有一篇SCI论文,一审花了2年,不过也录用了,耗时32个月。上面说过,在修改的时候正在写一篇论文。这篇论文写作完成以后,导师建议投交通领域顶刊Transportation Research Part B(后面会介绍这个期刊)。不过我自己当时是认为可能不行的,不过导师让投也没办法。果不其然,投稿2个月,一审被拒,3个审稿人。根据状态变化和邮件:应该是先送了2个审稿人,但是意见不一致,后面又加了1个审稿人。最后这个审稿人给的也是拒搞,他的意见是英文写得太差,没往下读。不过这篇论文给国外合作者看过,英文按道理问题不大,不过可能是这个期刊要求太高吧。这篇论文也没有浪费,我根据意见修改了一下投了IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems。这篇比较顺利,不过期间经历了期刊换主编。一审2个月,3个审稿人:2个大修,1个小修,编辑给的改后重投。一个月修改完成以后重投,二审2个月,3个审稿人:2小修,1个录用,编辑给的小修后录用。一周改后重投,三审2个月,编辑给的录用。整个过程8个月不到,还算顺利。总结一下:IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems这个期刊一般送三个审稿人,如果没有审稿人拒稿,编辑一般会退修。如果有审稿人拒稿,那么一般会加审稿人。同时,这个期刊一般退修次数比较多,可能与编辑的处理方式有关。其中我看到修改次数最多的一篇高达5次。最后,预祝大家人手几篇Transaction。越努力越幸运——未来无限好就这样直接到了博士三年级,很多同学都在博士三年级出国联合培养了。所以我也选择了博士四年级出去联合培养一年。在国外一年也发了几篇SCI。国外生活简单,没有国内的各种杂事。所以效率也就高一些。我基本早上7点起床,洗漱、做饭、吃饭,大概8点左右乘公交去学校图书馆。然后基本就是在图书馆待到下午5点。接着就是去学校体育馆健身一个半小时后回公寓。在这边也写了几篇SCI论文,都比较顺利的录用了。因此,总结了一些关于SCI写作和投稿的经验分享:第一步 写作:有了一个好的想法以后,可以先把论文大体框架(各级标题写出来)。后面根据内容一一填充即可。我的写作顺序一般是:Framework(整体框架)、Title(后面可能会调整)、Methodology、Case Study、Literature Review、Introduction、Conclusion、Abstract、Reference。其中每部分怎么写都有一定的技巧,特别是Introduction和Literature Review。 第二步 投稿:选期刊可以根据自己引用的参考文献。对于不同期刊可以去小木虫上搜索别人的一些投稿经历和注意事项。对于期刊的格式要求,一般期刊都是your paper your way。有些也对格式有要求,所有投稿前先看作者手册。 第三步 修改:投稿完以后,一审结果可能是拒稿,如果退稿了也不用伤心。可根据审稿人意见修改接着投其他期刊。若让修改,则要认真阅读和分析审稿人的意见。找一个完美的意见回复模板一一回复审稿人意见,其中回复的时候需要正面回复。若审稿人意见有不对的地方,可委婉指出并说明理由。其中,文中最好采用不同的颜色表明修改的地方。回复模板一般找师兄、师姐要即可。我这也可以提供几个我认为比较好的模板,可以在RG上找我要。 第四步 校稿:如果修改令审稿人和编辑满意。基本就录用了,接下来就是校稿了。校稿一般编辑会提出几个论文中明显的问题:如参考文献不规范、图分辨率不足等。一一回复并补充材料即可。自己也需要对全文进行阅读,有问题的地方一一记录,并写出怎样修改。把所有的汇总后发给编辑。当然有些期刊是在线校稿的,直接在校稿系统里修改即可。 以上是我个人的一些总结,希望对大家有所帮助。其中最重要的一点是行动比想法更重要,要把想法写下来变成可以看到的东西。本人马上就要答辩毕业了。希望可以找个好工作,然后继续奋斗下去。在这几年的博士研究生生涯中,越来越觉得心态很重要,越努力越幸运。下面是一些我经常使用的科研工具和交通期刊的总结。希望可以帮助大家提高效率和命中率。科研工具篇科研准备邮箱注册(推荐单位邮箱, gmail, 163等):投稿首先在投稿网址注册账号,邮箱不可或缺。推荐使用单位的邮箱,当然gmail也是一个好的选择。不过国内gmail一般使用不了,需要修改VPN或者翻墙才行。ORCID:是目前使用最广的“全球科研人员的学术身份证”,是免费的、全球唯一的16位身份证识别码,用于区分同名研究者,解决作者识别问题。投稿的时候一般期刊要求绑定ORCID,特别是通讯作者。所以建议大家注册一下,使用邮箱注册即可。小木虫:小木虫论坛上资源很丰富,涉及到科研和生活的方方面面,谁用谁知道。建议大家可以常去逛逛,上面有各种期刊的投稿经验,也可以和大家讨论各种科研和生活上的问题。ResearchGates(RG):一个很火的开源学术交流论坛,大家可以把自己的一些研究工作上传,便于交流。该论坛也可以根据你的论文和研究方向给你推送同行的一些最新研究成果。同时,自己也可以Follow一些大牛,时刻关注他们的研究进展。我觉得很好用,基本上每天都要逛几次RG。因此,欢迎大家入住RG,附上本人RG主页:https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Zhihong_Yao2。欢迎大家关注和交流。科研绘图推荐一些科研绘图软件,此处就不详细介绍,网上都能找到对应的教程。其次,大多期刊对图的分辨率都有一定的要求,比如600dpi或者300dpi等,当然最好是矢量图。我个人一般根据不同需求采用MATLAB、Visio和PPT来作图。MATLAB一般用于科学计算和作图,可以生成矢量图。Visio和PPT一般用于做一些流程图和示意图。相关作图软件如下:MATLAB(计算与绘图)、 Visio(示意图, 流程图)、 Origin(数据绘图)、R(统计与绘图)、 CAD(工程图)、 PPT(示意图)、 Mindmaster(思维导图)、Python(http://matplotlib.org/gallery.html)、ECharts(http://echarts.baidu.com/)。 文献管理文献管理软件有很多,如EndNote和Mendeley。国内也有不少,如NoteFirst。主要用于文献管理和参考文献制作。我一般用的是Mendeley,不过最近发现Zotero也挺好用的,而且开源。EndNote也用过,不过感觉太笨重了。当然,大家根据自己需求选择合适自己的软件即可。相关教程网上有很多,所以就不具体介绍怎么使用这些工具了。具体推荐这4款:Zotero、Mendeley、EndNote,、NoteFirst 等。如果大家有问题可以刀RG上给我发信息,到时候加我微信具体探讨。这里微信就不透露了。文献下载一般学校都买了相应的文献数据库。但如果不在学校可能下载起来比较麻烦。以下推荐一些文献下载的网站:http://sci-hub.cc/(免费下载英文文献)、http://scholar.glgoo.org、https://www.researchgate.net/、http://so.sciencesoft.cn/、http://gfsoso.99lb.net/、http://xueshu.baidu.com/ 、 https://www.cn-ki.net/ (免费下载中文文献,有次数限制)、中国知网(中文文献) 等。英文电子书有时候需要下载一些英文的书籍,附上两个可以下载英文书籍的网:http://bookzz.org/ , http://gen.lib.rus.ec/ 交通领域会议与SCI期刊篇以下将结合个人的经验和认识来介绍一些交通领域的会议和SCI期刊,仅供参考。国际会议交通领域会议不是很多,以下具体介绍一下ISTTT、TRB、IEEE ITS和COTA这四个会议。ISTTT全称International Symposium on Transportation and Traffic Theory,超级顶会,两年一次,参加人数不多,但去了的都是超级大佬或者他们的弟子。每年大概收录40余篇论文,而且这些基本直接推荐到Transportation Research Part B和Part C上发表。因此,中了这个会议的都是大佬。TRB全称Transportation Research Board,全世界最大的交通年会,马上快第100届了。每年都在美国华盛顿举办,冬天巨冷,本人有幸参加过一次,恰好遇上下大雪,真是冷得不行。该会议一般每年8月1日投稿截止期,10月中旬出结果。好的论文会推荐到期刊Transportation Research Record发表。投稿量很大,每年大概6000多篇,大概有40%左右会推荐会议,20%左右会推荐期刊。IEEE ITS全称Intelligent Transportation Systems Conference, IEEE,智能交通领域顶级国际会议。师门有人参加过,好像每年举办地不一样。该会议录用的论文都会全文在IEEE Xplore上发表。具体录用率不止,感觉不是很难,周围的人一投就中。COTA海外华人交通组织年会,由本人外导冉斌教授和王军先生、易平教授等人发起。旨在促进海外交通领域学者与专业人员的学术交流、以及推动交通研究、教育和技术转让;并在交通领域领导国际合作,重点关注与中国有关的问题。经过20年的发展,COTA已经成长为中国海外交通研究人员和工程师最多、最具国际影响力的协会之一。今年在东南大学举办,刚刚结束。很多交通界大佬都会出席,是一个学习和交流的好机会。接受论文投稿,具体时间安排可以到官网查找。SCI期刊根据Web Journal-Institute of Transportation Engineers0.155Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering:交通领域影响因子第一名,没有投过。不过看了上面的一些论文,感觉偏计算机方面。上面交通的论文一般强调与计算机应用相关知识结合。Transportation Research Part 系列,交通领域的学者应该都知道,都希望能中上一篇Part系列。本人目前还没有中过,身边有同学中过的不少。Part B对数理知识要求极高,要求本身实力够硬,还得大佬带带。Part C偏交叉学科,新兴技术在交通中的应用。最近发了不少机器学习、深度学习和强化学习在交通中应用的文章。对于数理知识要求没有Part B那么高。所以,对于发不了Part B的同学,Part C未尝不是一个好的选择。Part A对于交通政策类研究比较感兴趣。Part E物流偏多,也发其他交通领域的,难度比A、B和C简单一些,据说采用双盲审。Part D不是很熟,不过据说比A、B、C和E要简单一些。Transportation Science偏数学,虽然影响因子不高,业界认可度很高,但很难发。审稿周期很长,一般2-3年。Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems智能交通领域老牌期刊,一年发表论文40多篇。看了上面论文的记录,审稿周期大多很长。很多都是几年审稿周期。本人一篇一审2年,真的很漫长。Transportation Research Record来源于TRB会议推荐的论文,每年论文比较多,大约1000篇左右,影响因子较低,但业界认可度较高。上面的论文偏应用和数据分析。有很多Committee,因此,投稿选一个较好的Committee是一门学问。Transportmetrica系列,分为A和B。B偏动态交通分配、Day-to-Day。不过目前好像也收其他方面的论文。IET Intelligent Transport Systems英国期刊,内容不一定为ITS,交通领域的都可以投。审稿速度也很快。Journal of Advanced Transportation现在为开源期刊,审稿速度快,2100刀一篇的版面费让人望而却步。 除表中期刊以外,还有一些管理运筹类期刊如Operations Research、European Journal of Operational Research。Operations Research运筹学顶刊,国内有交通学者在上面发了几篇,如合肥工业大学龙建成教授,刚刚评上杰青。European Journal of Operational Research欧洲运筹学,运筹学影响力很大的期刊,能发上一篇也很牛。有个师兄在上面发了好几篇,真是佩服的不行,膜拜。 Transportation Science, published quarterly by INFORMS, is the flagship journal of the Transportation Science and Logistics Society of INFORMS. As the foremost scientific journal in the cross-disciplinary operational research field of transportation analysis, Transportation Science publishes high-quality original contributions and surveys on phenomena associated with all modes of transportation, present and prospective, including mainly all levels of planning, design, economic, operational, and social aspects. Transportation Science focuses primarily on fundamental theories, coupled with observational and experimental studies of transportation and logistics phenomena and processes, mathematical models, advanced methodologies and novel applications in transportation and logistics systems analysis, planning and design. The journal covers a broad range of topics that include vehicular and human traffic flow theories, models and their application to traffic operations and management, strategic, tactical, and operational planning of transportation and logistics systems; performance analysis methods and system design and optimization; theories and analysis methods for network and spatial activity interaction, equilibrium and dynamics; economics of transportation system supply and evaluation; methodologies for analysis of transportation user behavior and the demand for transportation and logistics services.
Transportation Science is international in scope, with editors from nations around the globe. The editorial board reflects the diverse interdisciplinary interests of the transportation science and logistics community, with members that hold primary affiliations in engineering (civil, industrial, and aeronautical), physics, economics, applied mathematics, and business.
